Preparing for An Evening of Hope: Every $35 ticket becomes a seed of hope, opportunity, and lasting change for women farmers in Sierra Leone.
Excitement is in the air! Members of Impact Sierra Leone’s 40 Women Agribusiness Collective are all smiles as they pose in front of their future Vocational Skills Training Center’s sewing machines. In 2026, these machines won’t just create textiles — they’ll create opportunity, skills, and hope for generations.
There’s something powerful about planting a seed.
You put it in the ground, not because you know exactly how it will grow, but because you believe in what it could become.
That is exactly what your $35 ticket does on December 5th — it plants a seed of opportunity in Foindu Village, Sierra Leone.
And that seed?
It has the power to transform 40 women, 40 households, and an entire community.
Let me take you there.
A New Season Is Coming to Foindu Village
Foindu is a place where the day begins before the sun.
Where women tie their headscarves, gather their tools, and set out on long footpaths to farms they’ve tended for decades.
Where mothers stretch every grain, every coin, every ounce of strength to care for their families.
Not once have they complained.
Not once have they waited for someone to rescue them.
These women are doers. Providers. Leaders.
They are the backbone of their village.
But even the strongest backbone can only carry so much.
For generations, these women have farmed without the benefit of formal training, modern tools, or business skills that could multiply their income and lighten their load.
Not because they lack brilliance.
But because opportunity has simply never reached their village.
This March, that changes because of your support.
Introducing the Impact Vocational Skills Training Center — A First for the Region
Impact Sierra Leone is opening something historic: The Foindu Women’s and Community Impact Vocational Skills Training Center — the first of its kind in this rural region.
This building is more than walls and a roof; it’s a doorway. A doorway to skills, confidence, and financial independence. It’s where dreams that have quietly endured years of hard work will finally have space to grow. Where women who have carried their families and communities on their shoulders will be seen, heard, and empowered to lead. Every lesson, every tool, every mentor will plant seeds of opportunity that ripple far beyond the classroom.
Over the course of six months, 40 women will step into a world of learning that blends tradition with innovation. They will refine their farming techniques, care for the soil, manage water, and protect their crops — all while adopting climate-smart practices that safeguard their livelihoods for the future.
They will learn the language of business: how to plan, budget, market, and collaborate with others, turning hard work into sustainable income. They will explore digital tools, clean energy solutions, and creative trades like fashion design, culinary arts, and jewelry-making — skills that open new doors and diversify opportunities.
These aren’t just classes. They are the building blocks of new futures — for each woman, her family, and the entire community. Every skill learned, every idea applied, every small success will echo in Foindu Village for generations to come.
The Ripple Effect of Empowering One Woman
When a woman farmer is trained, the effects are almost immediate:
Her crops grow more.
Her income stretches further.
Her children stay in school.
Her family eats better.
Her business supports others.
Her confidence inspires younger girls.
One empowered woman lifts a household.
Forty lift a village.
Where You Come In — December 5th
“An Evening of Hope Fundraiser” is not simply an event — it is the heartbeat of this entire initiative.
Your $35 ticket does real, tangible work:
It purchases training tools.
It equips the center.
It funds instructors.
It provides starter kits for the graduates.
It helps keep the center alive long after the first class finishes.
Your $35 becomes seeds, textbooks, farm tools, and new beginnings.
It becomes dignity that cannot be taken away.
You’re Not Buying a Ticket — You’re Planting Possibility
You’re saying:
“I believe in women’s potential.”
“I believe rural communities deserve access.”
“I believe generational change begins with opportunity.”
And the women of Foindu?
They’re ready.
Ready to learn.
Ready to lead.
Ready to grow into the future you are helping create.
All they need is the seed.
And you hold it.
