CHRISTMAS DAY OF HOPE
Christmas is more than just a season. It is a time to inspire hope, kindness, and foster unity. In Foindu Village, where resources are scarce and challenges abound, the Christmas Day of Hope serves as a beacon of light. This initiative brings people together, celebrates local culture, and provides much-needed assistance to families, children, and farmers.

The Christmas Day of Hope fosters education, health awareness, and community pride while creating joyful memories that last beyond the holiday season. With activities such as cultural performances, educational competitions, and the recognition of farmers, the Christmas Day of Hope has become both a celebration of Sierra Leonean heritage and a platform for meaningful impact.
What began as a simple meet-and-greet in Foindu in 2021 evolved into the Seeds of Life program, and from these heartfelt interactions came the inspiration to launch the Christmas Day of Hope. During one of her visits, ISL CEO Dr. Adama Kalokoh was moved by the villagers’ gratitude as they expressed, “Thank you for bringing hope to us.” This powerful statement became the foundation of the event’s mission.
In the three years since its inception, the Christmas Day of Hope has grown into a cherished tradition, bringing joy and optimism to the lives of those in Foindu who passionately look forward to it every year. Stay tuned for updates!
